Comforter Care

We pickup, wash or dry clean, and deliver blankets and comforters of all sizes. We can turn around queen sized comforters in 48 hours with pickup and delivery, while king sized comforters take a week.

How often should you clean your comforters? Probably every 1-2 months unless you have a duvet cover and use a top sheet (don't get us started on the top sheet debate). Definitely once a season even if you use a top sheet and duvet. Make sure you read your comforter's care tag to understand whether it needs any special cleaning attention.

Check out our comforter pricing here and schedule a pickup using promo code COMFORT10 for your next pickup that includes a comforter!

Summer Camp Season is Almost Here

Kristyn and Laura took Wash Street on the road (just down Elm Street, actually) to promote our Camp Laundry Service Program. Wash Street was an exhibitor at the American Camp Association’s New England Camp Conference in March.

Sending our own kids to camp, we have come to appreciate not only the excellent care they receive and all the camp activities and antics, we also know having clean, fresh laundry makes the camp experience even better. Having a trusted vendor means camp directors can check laundry off their own (very long) to-do lists.

If you run a summer camp and would like to learn more about our camp laundry program, reach out to us at clean@washstreet.com. Summer is coming soon!

GREEN DRY CLEANING IS HERE!

Most dry cleaners use perchloroethylene, also known as tetrachloroethylene, PCE, or “perc.” When inhaled by staff members, even low concentrations of perc are known to cause respiratory and eye irritation, headache, dizziness and vision problems. And, perc sticks to clothing, coming back to you when clothes are returned. A study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control confirmed that these chemicals are bad for the environment and bad for you.

We care about you and we care about our team. Wash Street is proud to partner with a green dry cleaner—a company who shares our values of keeping people and the earth safe and healthy. Let us know if you’d like to know more!
